斜視蟲頭鞍膨大、前緣內縮，使整個頭部成球狀，再加上兩旁微開的眼睛、看起來很無辜眼神，長久以來我們暱稱為大頭狗。

這隻大頭狗頭部及尾部都有漂亮細緻的泰瑞斯線(生長紋)，頭鞍前緣還有4點頭斑(像和尚的戒斑一樣)，身體捲曲成防禦型態，是一隻很好的標本!
